As vice president of sales, Hispanic markets, for Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Pablo Guzman is responsible for the growth and development of the company’s brands within the US Hispanic markets. In this role, he works closely with the company’s marketing team to ensure programs that are developed resonate with the Hispanic consumers and provide a positive impact on sales and profitability. He leads a team of Hispanic market managers and brand ambassadors in developing local marketing programs and events, driving local retail activation of national programs and cultivating strong community relations across all of DPS’s regional business units and routes to market.
Prior to joining DPS in 2012, Pablo served in the sales organization at Molson Coors, starting as area manager in 1979 and culminating as national vice president of U.S. Hispanic sales. There, he created and led a robust field sales structure focused on Hispanic business opportunities and established a selling process to integrate multicultural knowledge and awareness among the sales and field marketing teams. He also developed “Universidad Coors” to educate company employees and distributors on the Hispanic consumer.
After nearly 30 years with Molson Coors, he moved to Integer, a brand marketing and retail promotion agency, where, as marketing director for the western U.S., he developed and oversaw programs to drive his clients’ retail execution with a focus on Hispanic sales strategy.
Born in El Paso, Texas, to immigrant parents from Mexico, Pablo was the first in his family to graduate from college, earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of Santa Fe. He has championed the value of a college education through both his community involvement – and in his own family, including two sons with degrees from Stanford University and Harvard College, and a third who will attend Stanford this fall (2017).
Pablo lives in Frisco, Texas, with his wife, Linda.
