Kimberly King was selected as the Business Relations Specialist in June 2015. She has 20 years of experience working in the private sector for Fortune 100 food & beverage companies specializing in Sales & Marketing leadership. She has extensive experience in business planning, building partnerships and staff development. At Texas Workforce Solutions Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Mrs. King recent job duties include expanding job placement for consumers with disabilities, leading an Outreach & Service Coordination team and cultivating relationships with employers & community partners.

In addition to her private-sector experience, Mrs. King worked as volunteer raising funds for UTMB School of Health Professions (SHP) Fun Run. She shared best practices on networking strategies, identifying long & short term opportunities; and developing comprehensive strategies to solicit financial support from corporations and local organizations to assist with scholarships.

Mrs. King is very involved in her community, church activities, local school events and public education. She’s a marathon runner, embraces change and believes that success must be attracted, not pursued. She has been married for 14 years to Tony King, a previous Pro Am basketball player. They are the proud parents of Kyndall King, the couples 8 year old daughter, a future olympian & physician.

Mrs. King describes her mission as, “I’m a bridge builder who connects people, ideas and resources so that a person’s life is better because she assisted them in making the right connections.” She earned a Master’s Degree in International Studies from University of St. Thomas in Houston, TX and a Bachelor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
