Janice King

Janice King, Executive Director-Workforce Diversity & Inclusion is responsible for implementing and leading the company's diversity and inclusion initiatives for a global workforce of over 280,000. She also partners with the Business Units to ensure annual diversity and inclusion goals are met. In addition, she has oversight for managing Employee Resources Groups and Employee Networks which has more than 130,000 memberships.

Janice began her career with the company in 1996 as an Human Resource Recruiter for Southwestern Mobile Systems. Throughout her career, she has held several positions, all of which have been in Human Resources. Prior to joining the Diversity & Inclusion organization, she led the EEO, Affirmative Action, Ethics & Compliance and the Resolution teams. This included ensuring the company was compliant with Title VII and the Code of Business Conduct guidelines, policies and procedures.

She attended Dallas Baptist University where she received a Bachelors degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resources. Janice is currently active in a number of Employee Groups within AT&T. Her civic engagement includes leading the High School Seniors ministry at her church, serving as President for her HOA community, and frequently volunteering on various community committees.

Janice is married to Derwin King and they have one son, Jarred, who is a sophomore at the University of Texas in Austin and majoring in Finance. Janice and her husband currently reside in Red Oak, Texas as happy empty-nesters.
