Kafray is Making Cancer History® by engaging patients and donors across the Gulf South and Texas. Before joining MD Anderson in 2014, he spearheaded development efforts for Neighborhood Centers and Child Advocates, helping each organization exceed philanthropy milestones and mission goals. Before a pro-bono project led him into the non-profit sector, he managed strategic and technological initiatives at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) to increase revenue, streamline processes and improve outcomes. In less than two decades, Kafray has led teams which have helped secure more than $50 million to achieve business objectives.
While earning his business administration degree from Texas A&M University, he worked as a development officer for the 12th Man Foundation. Now a Certified Fund Raising Executive and graduate of Leadership Houston Class 30, he assists various not-for-profit organizations and is often a guest presenter for Rice University’s Center for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Leadership.
