Greg Moore recently retired from the Raytheon Company Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) business as Regional Diversity Manager for North Texas (NTX), and Chair of the NTX Diversity Council, having served as chair / co-chair for 18 years, working directly with Employee Resource Groups and local business leaders.
For SAS, he served as facilitator and NTX member of the business-level Diversity Council, was Program Manager for the annual business-level diversity action plan, and helped create and execute diversity strategies and programs. At the Raytheon Company level, Greg led diversity projects and represented SAS on the Raytheon Global Mentoring Coordinators Council, orchestrating mentoring programs across the business.
Greg is the immediate past President of the Greater Dallas Advisory Board for the Texas Diversity Council, having served 3 terms as President, and is a member of the current Executive Team. He is a member of two Dallas area community diversity efforts: the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and the University of Texas at Dallas Community Diversity Advisory Council. Greg also recently joined the Leadership Council of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America NTX chapter. He served 3 years as President and Executive Board Chairman for Work Friendly, Inc., a local nonprofit collaborative dedicated to educating organizations about the benefits of family friendly policies.
Greg has received 4 national / state diversity recognitions: the 2008 Santiago Rodriguez Diversity Award from the Hispanic Engineers National Achievement Award Conference (HENAAC); the 2004 Emerald Honors in Research Science Award for Affirmative Action; the 2012 Texas Diversity Council DiversityCHAMPION Award; and the 2014 Texas Diversity Council DiversityFIRST Award.
Greg is a Certified Raytheon Six Sigma Lead Expert, and supported the SAS Airborne Processors product line in McKinney, TX, and El Segundo, CA for 5 years, with multi-million dollar cash savings results. His work experience spanned over 45 years in Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Total Quality and Human Resources, including extensive teaming and facilitation know-how, plus certification by ASQ as a Quality Engineer. He is a graduate of the Leadership Plano, TX program and served on its Executive Board for 1 year. Greg has a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and completed 30+ hours of MBA work from Southern Methodist University and the University of Texas at Dallas.
He is married to Beverly, his hometown college sweetheart, and the father of daughter Lynette, who along with son-in-law Joe, are parents of Greg and Beverly’s granddaughter Natalie, a 15-year old ninth grader in Wichita Falls, TX. Greg also enjoys walking half-marathons, recently completing his 19th race.
