Dan Arguijo is the Director of Communication for Dow’s Packaging and Specialty Plastics North America commercial organization. He is responsible for creating the strategic development and tactical implementation of marketing and communications support for the packing and plastics business which generates revenues of over $4.0 billion annually.
Before joining Dow Arguijo was the Chief Communications Officer for Houston Community College (HCC). During his tenure Arguijo worked to raise the college’s profile and reputation as one of the most efficient and responsive institutions in the country. Under his leadership HCC launched a branding campaign, including entirely new image and marketing protocols, which resulted in a 40% increased in enrollment over a six year period. The results culminated to a 67% approval vote for a $425 million bond referendum in 2013, the largest bond package in the institution’s history.
Arguijo has served as the Director of Media Relations for Cox Communications, Chief Information for the City of Austin Water Utility and Director of Brand Development for Mary Kay Cosmetics, Inc.
