Amber Kinney is the Chief Financial Officer for the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center. She has been with the Center since February 2011, previously holding the Controller position. Amber brings more than 20 years of senior financial leadership experience with a focus in nonprofit management in Dallas and Fort Worth. This experience spans the range of organizational development, from involvement in the start-up of several nonprofits to mature, established institutions. She is particularly skilled in building organizational infrastructure, policy and program development, team building and in financial systems design and implementation. Presently, Amber oversees the areas of Accounting, Finance and Ticketing Services.
Most recently, Amber was Director of Finance and Administration for The Woodall Rodgers Park Foundation and the CFO for Child Care Associates of Fort Worth. Prior to those positions, she served as the Director of Finance for Dallas Summer Musicals, serving DSM Management Group for fourteen years during a period of tremendous growth for the organization, with activities that encompassed theatrical presentations, production of national tours, venue management, and youth education programs. She was the top Financial Executive overseeing Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Risk Management and IT functions. In addition, she helped establish the organization‘s first Development Department. Other financial leadership experience includes service as Director of Finance for Devise Associates, a New York computer consulting company.
Amber is a longtime resident of the Dallas area, with extensive personal and professional roots in its performing and visual arts community. She holds an MBA from the University of North Texas.
